Macken Permanent Deal? - Ipswich Town News
Boss Jim Magilton says he will have to negotiate a permanent move for Jon Macken if he wants to keep the striker at the club. The Town manager has been impressed with the former Preston and Manchester City man, who has returned to Selhurst Park at the end of his loan spell.
Magilton told the club site that another loan is unlikely: "Jon's a terrific professional and I can't speak highly enough of him.
"He did a great job for us while he was here and I'll be speaking to Palace about the situation, but I would think it's likely that we will have to try and do a deal if we want to bring him back here."
Simon Walton's spell also ended earlier this week and the Charlton player has returned to the Valley where he is keen to help the Addicks out of the relegation zone.
