Jim Denies Reports - Ipswich Town News
Boss Jim Magilton has denied that the Blues are amongst the clubs to have made a bid for Rotherham striker Will Hoskins and says he has no interest in Birmingham midfielder Neil Kilkenny. A national newspaper reported that Town had made an offer for Hoskins, while local reports suggested Kilkenny was a loan target.
Magilton told the club site: "I've heard about the reports that we have contacted Rotherham with a bid for Hoskins but it's nonsense.
"He is a player that we are aware of and we have watched him, but it's gone no further than that. We have certainly not made any contact with Rotherham about him.
"It's the same with Kilkenny. There is nothing in the story at all."
Magilton says talks are ongoing with a number of parties, amongst them trialist George O'Callaghan's current club Cork City: "We are speaking to a couple of clubs and it's a case of waiting to see what follows.
"We are keen on George and are speaking to Cork, but for the deal to work it will have to be the right one for us."
