Newspapers over the weekend were linking Town to Huddersfield full-back Steve Jenkins. The 28-year-old Welshman has won twelve caps for his country and is a regular for his club.

He doesn't seem the sort of player Town would be looking to buy at the moment, looks like just another piece of paper talk.

Mark Wilson is being offered a new four year deal at Manchester United. Town were linked with the midfielder earlier this month, but Geirge Burley deinied ay interest.

The Town manager said earlier this month of Wilson: "I've watched Mark Wilson, but I haven't made a bid."
