Watford in for Hoskins? - Ipswich Town News

Premiership Watford are reported to have launched a joint bid for Rotherham strikers Will Hoskins and Lee Williamson. Town manager Jim Magilton yesterday denied having made a bid for Hoskins having watched the England U20 international in action on a number of occasions during the first half of the season.

The Millers are understood to want around £600,000 for Hoskins with Williamson thought to be rated at around half that figure.

Elsewhere, Jon Macken is reported to have played his last game for the Blues. The striker is expected to return to Crystal Palace for good now that his loan spell at Portman Road is over.

Town are reported to have put a £50,000 price tag on midfielder Darren Currie's head. The 32-year-old is likely to return to Coventry, where he has just completed a loan spell, during the transfer window.

Meanwhile, Cork City have turned down a bid from Southend United for Roy O'Donovan, another young striker watched by the Blues this season.
