The two Scarborough trialists currently with Town have been named as David Pounder and Ashley Lyth. Pounder is variously described as a promising striker or a midfielder while Lyth is a young defender.
Ex-Town star Neil Thompson has sent both to train with Town with a view to George Burley taking themm on as long-term prospects. Scarborough are in financial straits after their relegation to the Conference and need to sell to survive.
