Town After Abbott - Ipswich Town News
Huddersfield Town's Pawel Abbott is amongst the strikers on Jim Magilton's January wish-list. The 25-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and is likely to be available for a low six-figure fee.
York-born Abbott started his career with LKS Lodz in his parents' homeland of Poland, then in 2001 joined Preston for £125,000.
Having failed to win a regular place at Deepdale, Abbott spent time on loan at Bury (twice) and Huddersfield.
After four goals in a six-game spell with the Terriers, the 6ft 1in tall frontman moved to the Galpharm Stadium on a permanent basis in March 2004 for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-and-a-half year deal.
Since then, Abbott has scored 47 goals in 88 starts and 33 sub appearances for Peter Jackson's side. In the summer, the former Polish U21 international turned down a move to the MK Dons.
