Fab Could Leave on Loan - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton says that out-of-favour defender Fabian Wilnis could leave the Blues on loan during the January transfer window. Wilnis's eight-year Town career looks close to an end with the Blues signing David Wright from Wigan later today.

Magilton said: "If he wanted to go elsewhere on loan I would not stand in his way. I would do whatever Fabian feels is right for Fabian.”

The Town manager says that other players currently rarely in the first team could also leave on short-term spells.

Wright will complete his £200,000 move today before being paraded at a press conference later this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Magilton says that Town are yet to hear back from Cork City regarding their latest offer for trialist George O'Callaghan.

The situtation regarding O'Callaghan remains confusing with Cork saying they have turned down up to three loan bids for the 27-year-old midfield player, the most recent understood to be around the £80,000 mark.

No other clubs have made bids, although Dunfermline, Hibernian and Sunderland are all reported to be monitoring the situation.
