No Macken Deal - Ipswich Town News
Former loan striker Jon Macken is reported to have turned down the chance to return to Town on a permanent basis. Macken's loan spell with the Blues ended at the beginning of the month with boss Jim Magilton wanting him to return.
Macken's high wages at Crystal Palace are understood to have been the factor which have scuppered any chance of a deal.
Palace boss Peter Taylor has made the 29-year-old available to other clubs: "If I get calls from other managers asking after Jon I'll listen to them, because he's not in the team at the minute.”
Macken made 13 starts and one sub appearance in four months on loan at Portman Road, scoring three times.
