Only One O'Callaghan Bid - Ipswich Town News

TWTD understands that contrary to reports the Blues have made only one bid for Cork City midfielder George O'Callaghan. Town's offer, understood to be £50,000 plus a pre-season friendly next summer, has been turned down by the Eircom League club.

Despite claims in the Irish press at the end of last week, young midfielder Liam Trotter has not been offered as part of a deal and Town's offer for O'Callaghan relates to a permanent move rather than a loan.

O'Callaghan, who has been on trial with the Blues since September, is keen to join Town, but boss Jim Magilton won't pay over the odds for the 27-year-old former Port Vale player.

Dunfermline, Hibernian and Sunderland have all also been reported to have shown interest in the midfielder.
