Fab Was Set for Move - Ipswich Town News
Defender Fabian Wilnis has revealed he was close to making a loan move prior to Jason De Vos cracking a metatarsal in training earlier this wee. Wilnis was one of Town's better performers in Tuesday's 1-0 FA Cup victory over Chester.
Wilnis said: "The manager told me last Friday that he had three or four clubs interested in taking me on loan.
"I wanted the weekend to think things over and told him before training on Monday that I wanted a word after the session.
"The plan was to confirm that I was up for a move."
De Vos suffered his injury prior to the meeting taking place and the Dutchman was kept at Portman Road.
