Pétursson Joins GrindavÃk - Ipswich Town News
Academy goalkeeper Óskar Pétursson has rejoined his former club GrindavÃk back in Iceland, as predicted by TWTD earlier in the week. Pétursson was set to complete his two-year scholarship with the Blues at the end of the season.
The Iceland U17 international's time at Playford Road has been hampered by a series of wrist injuries, although we understand Town were keen to hang onto him and it was his decision to return to his homeland.
According to reports in Iceland, 17-year-old GrindavÃk left-back Jósef Kristinn Jósefsson is set for trial spells with a number of clubs, including Town and 1981 UEFA Cup final opponents AZ Alkmaar.
