No Red Card Appeal - Ipswich Town News
Town will not be appealing against David Wright's red card during Saturday's 3-2 victory over Colchester after referee Graham Laws watched the video evidence and decided it supported his original decision.
Wright told the club site he is very disappointed as Chris Iwelumo's shot from virtually point blank didn't even strike his hand: "The ball hit me on the shoulder and what's more, I couldn't get out of the way of it.
"I was really disappointed with the decision and thought it was very harsh."
Wright will miss next Saturday's FA Cup fourth round tie at home to Swansea, limiting Jim Magilton's already diminished defensive options.
Skipper Jason De Vos is injured, Alex Bruce starts a two-match ban this weekend and Ian Miller was cup-tied during his time with Bury Town early in the season.
Fabian Wilnis is likely to receive a call alongside Richard Naylor at centre-half with Sito or Chris Casement coming into the side at right-back.
