Jim: More Deals Possible - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton says that he could make more signings before Wednesday's transfer window, although further additions could depend on Darren Bent leaving Charlton. The Addicks have again sought to stop speculation regarding the England striker's future by stating that he is not for sale.

Magilton said: "If we get a few quid in we may get someone else in, although I'm happy with what I've got.

"If Darren is sold for £15 million then that would give us money and we have targets in mind that we would like to bring into the club."

Charlton chairman Richard Murray reiterated that Bent was staying last night after more speculation that West Ham are on the verge of making an offer of either £15 million or £17 million depending on which paper you read: "Darren isn't going anywhere.

"We've seen another batch of press speculation over the weekend, and the club has been inundated with journalists wanting to know how much we want and where he is going.

"Well, let's make this nice and simple - he's not going anywhere.”

Town are due 20% of the profit the Addicks would make on the £2.6 million they have so far paid the Blues for the frontman should they sell him.
