Hammers: No Bent Bid - Ipswich Town News
West Ham have denied making a bid for former Town striker Darren Bent. Reports earlier today claimed the Hammers had offere £18 million to Charlton for the England striker.
A West Ham statement reads: "West Ham United can once again confirm that no bid has been made for the services of Charlton Athletic striker Darren Bent."
Town stand to gain 20% of any profit the Addicks make on the £2.6 million they have so far paid for Bent should they decide to sell him.
Meanwhile, neither Shane Supple nor Alan Lee are included in the Republic of Ireland squad for the Euro 2008 qualifier in San Marino next Wednesday.
