Macken Joins Derby - Ipswich Town News
Former Town loanee Jon Macken has joined Derby County on a free transfer. The Blues were understood to be interested in signing the Republic of Ireland international permanently but couldn't match the contract he was on at Selhurst Park.
Macken, who scored three goals in 14 games while at Portman Road, has signed an 18-month deal at Pride Park.
Meanwhile, Dean Bowditch's latest loan spell at Brighton will begin once the frontman is over his groin injury. The former England U19 international is thought to be around a week away from a return to action.
When he does make his way to the Withdean Stadium, Bowditch will be reunited with former Town trialist Alexis Bertin, who has joined the Seagulls from Le Havre. The midfielder was close to winning a Town deal in the summer.
