Town say Saturday's home game with Leicester City is not in danger despite the overnight snow. Groundsman Alan Ferguson has the pitch covered and he and his staff are monitoring the situation.
A club spokesperson said: "The pitch has been covered with a tent that hot air is being blown into and we are likely to keep that going until the weekend so, as we stand, all should be OK."
Leicester will be looking for their first league win at Portman Road in 19 years when they visit Suffolk this weekend.
