Summer Synnott Decision - Ipswich Town News
Boss Jim Magilton says that the Blues will decide whether Michael Synnott will be offered a professional contract in the summer. The 20-year-old right-back was given an extra year in the academy after suffering with a number of injuries.
Boss Jim Magilton told the club site that the Dubliner has the rest of the season to prove himself: "Michael is above the academy age group now but he has been very unlucky with injuries over the last two years.
"He had a year out of the game after breaking his ankle so we decided to extend that 'scholarship' period for another 12 months.
"He will be staying at the club until the summer and then we will make a decision from there about whether we will offer him a contract."
