Jim Looking for Loanee - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton says he is looking for a loan striker ahead of Saturday's FA Cup tie at Watford. The Blues will be without the suspended Alan Lee and cup-tied Jon Walters when they face the Hornets.

Magilton said: "I have been asking around to see whether I can bring in a loan signing.

"But I have drawn a blank so far and it isn't going to be easy.

"If no one comes into the squad we have Billy Clarke and Danny Haynes, plus Gary Roberts can play up front and George O'Callaghan has also filled that role in the past."

Dean Bowditch's loan at Brighton is also still on hold despite the 20-year-old being over his groin injury. The former England U19 international was due to rejoin the Seagulls as soon as he was fit but now looks likely to delay his latest loan spell at the Withdean Stadium until after the weekend.
