Academy central defender Tommy Smith won two caps with the England U17s at a tournament in the Algarve over the weekend. The English youngsters defeated Portugal 1-0 on Saturday and drew 1-1 with France on Sunday.
The side coached by John Peacock now face Germany on Tuesday in a game which will decide the winners of the competition.
Smith recently committed to playing for England, the country of his birth, ahead of New Zealand, where he lived between the ages of eight and 16.
