Coca-Cola Tickets Winner - Ipswich Town News

The winner of TWTD's Coca-Cola competition was Richard Garnett from Ipswich, who wins two tickets to Tuesday's game against Wolves. Richard correctly answered that Steve Sedgley left Town in the deal which saw Mark Venus join the Blues.

Coca-Cola has launched its annual Buy a Player scheme which will see the soft drinks giant give Football League and SPL clubs up to £10 million.

Promotional packs of Coca-Cola and Coke Zero will have a code on the label which can be registered on the Buy a Player website or via text (number 80094 - normal network charges apply).

One in every two codes will reveal prizes worth £10 million, ranging from 50p to £100,000. Fans that win a £100,000 prize for their club or £10,000 for themselves. Most prizes will be at lower levels but as fans register their codes, the pot grows with the club given the total in the pot at the end of the promotion. If all codes are redeemed, Coca-Cola will have given £10 million to Football League and SPL clubs.

So far, Ipswich Town fans have raised for the club via the Buy a Player promotion.

Football League and SPL clubs are backing the promotion in a variety of ways. Chairmen and managers have made pledges to encourage their fans to raise money. Town's David Sheepshanks has promised to dye his hair blue and white and serve burgers behind the North Stand if Town fans manage to raise more than £100,000.

Each week the fan who has raised the most money for each club will be labelled a Superfan and will be rewarded with Town's prizes including Coca-Cola branded mountain bikes, MP3 players, Colchester Zoo and Pleasurewood Hills tickets, match tickets as well as an overall Superfan prize — being given a squad number for next season, having their picture taken with the squad at the official photocall and enjoying a unique behind the scenes match day experience.
