No Deal for Francis - Ipswich Town News
Town manager Jim Magilton says the Blues will not be offering a deal to trialist Joe Francis. The Woodbridge Town frontman, 20, played a number of games for the reserves and scored twice during two spells training at Portman Road.
Magilton says that although Francis hasn't made it with the Blues he could still have a career in football: "Joe has enough talent to make a living out of the game. He has shown flashes of real quality and he is a lovely lad.
"But we are looking on a different level, and Joe could have done with a pre-season to have got him set up for playing full-time.
"I will be making some phone calls and doing all I can to get him fixed up to play professionally.”
