Jim After Second Franny - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton says he is keen to sign another loan striker in the mould of the injured Franny Jeffers. The Blackburn Rovers man is expected to end his spell once the results of a scan on his hamstring injury are known.

Magilton said: "Franny made such a big difference that I want to bring in someone who can make a similar impact.

"He put away his first chance at Hull, and that turned the match our way after they had controlled the early stages.

"And at half-time he was a big influence in the dressing room, convinced we could go on and collect a win."

The Blues are without Jeffers and the suspended Alan Lee at Preston tonight and could start with either Jon Walters or Danny Haynes up front on their own. Walters faces a late fitness test on his hamstring problem.
