No Souness Link - Ipswich Town News
Town have denied any link with former Liverpool and Rangers boss Graeme Souness. The ex-Scotland international is looking to buy a Championship club and recently made a bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Souness's appearance at Town's game at Preston on Tuesday prompted speculation that the Blues might be his latest target, but a club spokesman denied any link: "We have had no contact with Graeme Souness.”
Meanwhile, Jim Magilton has become the latest manager to slam the Football League's proposal to scrap draws and introduce penalty shoot-outs.
And overnight, Dan Harding's girlfriend Vicky gave birth to a daughter Jessie. Harding, who also has an ankle injury, is not in the squad for today's game at Luton.
