Jim Makes Changes - Ipswich Town News

Striker Jon Walters says that Blues manager Jim Magilton has instituted a new training regime at Playford Road in recent weeks. The Town squad now hold afternoon sessions in order to emulate Saturday preparations on a day-by-day basis.

Walters said: "I think the science of it all makes sense.

"The general amount of your games are at three o'clock on a Saturday. So if you train towards that then your body clock is set to that.

"We're giving it a try out and so far so good."

Walters has also revealed that he is enjoying playing alongside Alan Lee: "I've been playing well with him.

"Each day we train together and play together, we link up better and better. Billy and Danny are doing well as well when they come on in games.

"I'd like to think I link up well with the three of them, and adapt to each one, but especially with Alan. He's a good player to play with and learn off."
