Jim Rejects Link - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton has rejected a suggestion that he might succeed Lawrie Sanchez as coach of Northern Ireland. A report claims the Irish Football Association see the Town manager as a candidate for the job should Sanchez move on.

Sanchez is set for talks next month regarding extending his Northern Ireland contract beyond the end of the current Euro 2008 qualifying campaign.

Magilton says he is a long way from being an international boss: "I'm a million miles from managing Northern Ireland, maybe one day but not for a while yet.”
