Supple Wants Games - Ipswich Town News

Keeper Shane Supple says he has spoken to boss Jim Magilton about his Portman Road future. The Irishman has spent most of the season on the bench having started 2006/07 as Town's number one.

Supple says that Magilton has told him he is very much in his plans: "The gaffer has reassured me that I still have a future with Ipswich.”

However, the 19-year-old is desperate to play games: "I am itching to get back into the team, and I can not go through another season like this one.

"I can't let the situation go on for ever as I know I am good enough.”

Lewis Price has been Magilton's preferred choice between the sticks since dropping Supple back in August, the Irishman only coming into the side when the Wales international was injured.

Meanwhile, Accrington winger Sean Doherty has left Portman Road after spending a week on trial.
