More Woe for Naylor - Ipswich Town News

Richard Naylor has been dealt another blow in what is turning out to be a week from hell. The Town striker has been given the news that his newborn baby Jessica Jayne may have to undergo heart surgery. Just a few days ago Naylor learnt that his knees may require further surgery, although it is hoped that this can be avoided.

Naylor's girlfriend Carly Nunn gave birth to Jessica Jayne on Tuesday at Ipswich Hospital. Mother and child have since been moved to Guy's Hospital for scans on the heart problem.

The Town striker said: "It's obviously putting a lot of strain on us both, and our families. We have to face up to it and appreciate that there are many people in far worse situations."

TWTD wishes Naylor all the best. We set up an address where you could mail your good wishes to Bam Bam last week when his further knee problems became known. To mail your message of goodwill click the link on the Message Board: http://www.twtd.co.uk/messages

class="storytext">Ex-Town man Kieron Dyer will have to have an operation on his shin problem. A scan has shown that he has a cyst and it will be operated on in two weeks.

Kieron said: "I cannot believe it. Football has ups and downs and I have had plenty of ups in the game. But this is hard to stomach, although I'm beginning to come to terms with it."

The operation means that Dyer will miss Newcastle's game at Portman Road on April 14th - the game where both he and former manager Bobby Robson return to Town for a match for the first time.

Today's Do You Remember? hero is Kevin Wilson. Any thoughts on the goalscoring-moustachioed-dartplayer-nicknamed eighties star? Same link as above.
