Jim to Appeal? - Ipswich Town News
Town manager Jim Magilton is reported to be considering appealing against the two-match touchline ban and £500 fine handed to him yesterday for abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official during Town's game at Preston last month.
The Blues boss is said to be unhappy with the severity of the sanctions handed out to him when compared to other similar recent incidents.
Southend manager Steve Tilson was given a £50 fine and was warned about his future conduct, but given no touchline ban, while Portsmouth's Harry Redknapp received a £750 fine, a warning but also no ban.
Magilton, who sent the FA a written apology, has a fortnight in which to appeal against the fine and ban, which if it stands will see him watch the Leeds and Cardiff games from the directors' box.
