Pogues in Vogue - Ipswich Town News

Fiesta by The Pogues is proving to be a popular nomination as Town continue the search for a new goal celebration tune. Fiesta appears to be the favoured option of many of the TWTD Message Board regulars.

The club released a list of eight options last week, but said that other tunes would be taken into consideration if popular.

So far, The Fratellis' Chelsea Dagger and Blur's Song Two are topping the club's list.

Town spokesperson Camilla Haycock told the club site: "The vote has certainly caused much debate among the supporters and we have had over 1500 votes already.

"There have also been many nominations in addition to the eight songs on the club site, with Fiesta by The Pogues proving very popular.

"The vote stays open until May 3rd but we will monitor the nominations that have been coming into the club and will set up a final vote before that date."

To add your vote visit the club site, while you can nominate Fiesta or another tune not on the original list via fanzone@itfc.co.uk.

Monster by The Automatic has also received nominations, while more suggestions have been made on TWTD's Town Topic.

Even Danny Baker has entered the debate in his Times column.
