Jim: Lee in My Plans - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton says that striker Alan Lee is still in his plans, despite the January addition of Jon Walters and the likely summer signing of Blackburn's Franny Jeffers.

Magilton said: "Alan is still very much in our plans and we have no intention of letting him go."

The Town boss has also refuted rumours claiming that the Blues will target Colchester striker Chris Iwelumo over the summer. The Scot is out of contract at the end of the season, but although Magilton says he is aware of the 28-year-old's position, he is not someone he is interested in.

Suggestions that Iwelumo could be on his way to the Blues are likely to have surfaced as the ex-Stoke City and Alemannia Aachen frontman lives in Ipswich and has friends amongst the Town squad.

Meanwhile, Suffolk Constabulary say they could still take action against Derby keeper Stephen Bywater for his role in the incident in the wake of his sending off along with Town's Alex Bruce on Saturday.

The Crown Prosecution Service is considering whether an offence took place. Bywater was spoken to the police after Saturday's game.

Bywater and Bruce have both appealed against their red cards with the FA hearing their claims of innocence later today.
