Blackburn on Jeffers - Ipswich Town News

Blackburn chairman John Williams says his club are yet to decide whether they will make Franny Jeffers available for transfer this summer. Town are keen to sign the loanee striker, who has a year left on his Ewood Park deal, on a permanent basis.

Williams said: "We will make a decision as to whether we want to keep Franny at the end of the season, once we've assessed our own requirements.

"At the moment, we haven't made a decision as to whether he's available or not."

Blackburn are being linked with a move for former striker Craig Bellamy during the summer, a transfer which would add to Mark Hughes's already length list of frontmen.

The ex-Everton and Arsenal man is already behind Benni McCarthy, Matt Derbyshire, Paul Gallagher, Shabani Nonda and Jason Roberts in the pecking order at Ewood Park.

Jeffers himself has said he would like to join the Blues if Blackburn no longer require his services.

Derby County have also been linked with a summer move for the one-time England international, who has scored three goals in seven games during his Town loan spell.
