Bruce Not Banned - Ipswich Town News

Defender Alex Bruce has been fined and warned about his future behaviour but not banned after being found guilty of improper conduct with regard to his clash with Derby keeper Stephen Bywater after their red cards during the Blues' 2-1 victory over the Rams at Portman Road.

Bywater, who like Bruce had his red card rescinded last week, admitted his guilt and has been banned for one game.

Bruce contested his charge and attended this afternoon's FA disciplinary hearing along with club secretary Sally Webb.

Meanwhile, Derby manager Billy Davies will face no FA action after being sent to the stands during the same game, his third dismissal of the season.

At another FA hearing, Leeds midfielder Alan Thompson had the red card he received in the Whites' game against Southampton overturned and the former Celtic man will be available to face the Blues at Elland Road on Saturday.
