Kit Three Wins - Ipswich Town News

Contrary to reports in the press yesterday Kit Three has won the vote and will be Town's home kit next season. The winning kit is the one with no red, quite a lot of white bits and a V-neck.

The players were apparently unhappy at the design of Kit One, however it was Kit Three that really caught the imagination of Town fans. The one with the red bits, Kit Two, was second.

Town's merchandising manager Michael Brooks said of the result: "I’m really pleased with the outcome — it’s exciting to think that this kit will be purchased not only nationally but internationally next season. All four kits were strong contenders and unique in their own right. Receiving over 10,000 votes exceeded our expectations and clearly demonstrates the interest in the kits both from local supporters and from those abroad who took advantage of the online voting on the club’s website."

George Burley said of the new kit: "The strong blue and white colours have always been synonymous with Ipswich Town Football Club and I’m glad to see this tradition continue. In addition we’re all delighted that have our own fans support in the selection of the kit which shows the close relationship were continue to have with them."

Captain Matt Holland gave the point of view of the men who will actually wear the kit in battle: "I think the new kit is excellent and V-neck shirts are very comfortable to play in. We are all looking forward to playing in the Premiership next season in a kit chosen for us by our supporters."

The new kit will probably be available from May 26th depending on whether the shirt sponsor deal has been complated or not. Prices will be: Childrens: Shirt: £29.95, Shorts: £14.95, Socks: £6.95. Youths: Shirt: £29.95, Shorts: £14.95 ,Socks: £6.95. Adults: Shirt: £39.95, Shorts: £19.95, Socks: £8.95.
