Legwinski Players' Player - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Sylvain Legwinski was named Town's Players' Player of the Year at the club's end of season dinner at Trinity Park earlier this evening. Legwinski had already picked up the Supporters Player of the Year trophy.

The players voted Gavin Williams's goal in the 1-0 home victory over Leeds in December Town's goal of the season.

Jaime Peters was awarded the John Kerridge Award for the most improved player, the previous gong handed to Alex Bruce at the Supporters Club do last month having been a joke by his team-mates, Jason De Vos's speech making extensive reference to the former Birmingham man's disciplinary record.

Defender Ollie Fenn won the Harold Smith Award for the Most Promising Academy Player, while Tommy Smith was named the Dale Roberts Academy Player of the Year.
