Short on Trial at Luton - Ipswich Town News
Academy defender Russell Short is on trial with Luton Town. Short has been told he will not be offered a professional deal by the Blues at the end of the season.
Short, who joined the Town youth set-up in 2005 from Cambridge United, played for the Hatters reserves in a 3-2 victory over Oxford United at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, former academy midfielder Ashley Nicholls has been released by Conference side Grays Athletic.
Ex-Town reserves skipper Justin Miller has been let go by League One Leyton Orient. The South African joined the O's from the Blues after being released in 2003.
