Brittain Released - Ipswich Town News

The Blues will not offer winger Martin Brittain an extension to his Town contract. Brittain moved to Portman Road last summer on a free transfer from Newcastle after impressing in a trial spell.

The 22-year-old made only one senior appearance for Jim Magilton's side, coming on as a sub in the Carling Cup defeat at Peterborough back in August.

The Cramlington-born midfielder joined Yeovil on loan in October and, after a short period back at Portman Road, began a second spell towards the end of January.

Brittain has made 12 starts and four substitute appearances for the Glovers, but is yet to score his first senior goal.
