Jeffers Wants Town Move - Ipswich Town News

Striker Franny Jeffers has reiterated that he is keen to make his move to Portman Road a permanent one should Blackburn confirm that they will allow him to leave. Over the weekend tabloid reports indicated that Rovers will axe the former Everton and Arsenal man later this week.

Jeffers said: "If Mark Hughes is happy for me to leave Blackburn then Ipswich would be my choice. I am sure I can agree a deal.”

The England striker has a year left on his contract at Ewood Park which is understood to be pay-as-you-play arrangement. Any fee asked by Rovers for Jeffers, who joined them on a free transfer last summer, is expected to be within Town's means.
