Everton Release Wright - Ipswich Town News
Everton have confirmed that Richard Wright has not been offered a new contract. However, manager David Moyes says there is still a possibility that Wright could be stay at Goodison Park if he fails to land a new keeper over the summer.
Moyes has told Wright and defender Alessandro Pistone that no new deals are currently on the table: "Alessandro and Richard have both been released, although the door is slightly ajar for Richard in that we may need to bring in another keeper."
Despite Moyes's comments, it seems unlikely that Wright would want to remain with Everton given his lack of opportunities in recent seasons and we expect the former England international to rejoin the Blues on a free transfer before the start of pre-season.
