Williams Ranks Highest - Ipswich Town News

We are proud to reveal that midfielder Gavin Williams is the winner of the inaugural TWTD Your Report Player of the Year title. The award was calculated from the 74,962 player ratings given by TWTD readers in our Your Report feature throughout the season.

Williams finished with the highest average score of those players who had featured 20 times or more during 2006/07. His Your Report average of 7.13 put him ahead of Owen Garvan with 6.96 and Supporters Club Player of the Year Sylvain Legwinski, whose performances gained him an average mark of 6.96.

However, amongst those playing fewer than 20 games, several players finished ahead of Williams. January signing Jon Walters amassed an average of 7.33 from his 16 games and loanee Franny Jeffers 7.26 from nine, but derby heroes Mike Pollitt (one game) and Matthew Bates (one and a bit games) scored 7.74 and 7.67 respectively.
