New Belgian Link - Ipswich Town News
Town are being linked with interest in another Belgian-based player, this time Nigerian striker Ode Thompson who plays for Harelbeke. The report claims that Town were set to watch the eleven goal striker in Sunday's game with Club Brugge, but that he missed out with a stomach bug.
Another story appeared elsewhere on Saturday which claimed Town had watched this game in order to get another look at Gert Veheyen. As the story appeared before the match had actually taken place and mentioned further interest in Verheyen we dismissed it out of hand. But we suppose someone could have heard that we were going to send a scout to the game and people are guessing at our targets. None of this sounds particularly likely though does it?
