Jim: No Bids Received - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton says the Blues have received no offers for any of their players and has reiterated that striker Alan Lee will not be moving on over the summer.

Magilton says that although no moves are in the offing at present, he will assess bids on an individual basis: "If the telephone rings and an offer is interesting we will have to consider it whoever the player is.

"It could mean that a wheel and deal could place us in a stronger position. But I stress that I have had no offers - not even one phone call - for any of my squad.”

The Town manager has once again sought to dismiss rumours that Alan Lee could leave during the close season: "He has one year of his contract to run, and he is not going anywhere.

"I gain the impression that Alan knows this club is going somewhere - and he wants to be part of that.”

Town have received CVs and DVDs from potential trialists and have had clubs enquiring about taking youngsters Michael Synnott, Sammy Moore, Liam Trotter or Chris Casement on loan next season.

Millwall are reported to be interested in released Town midfielder Darren Currie. The Lions are managed by former Town coach Willie Donachie.

Meanwhile, La Liga side Valencia are the latest club linked with former Blue Darren Bent. Charlton chief executive Peter Varney and manager Alan Pardew are understood to be in Spain talking to Los Che.

Town will receive 20% of the profit the Addicks make on Bent with £15 million apparently the England striker's price, a figure which would net the Blues £2.48 million.

Elsewhere, Cambridge United striker Robbie Simpson is reported to have completed his move to Coventry City for £200,000.
