Rovers Wait for Rams Bid - Ipswich Town News

A claim that Blackburn Rovers are still awaiting a bid from Derby County for Franny Jeffers was amongst the few Town mentions in the weekend tabloids. The Rams were previously reported to be ready to offer £1.5 million for the former England man.

Rovers revealed early last week that Town's latest offer, believed to be £500,000 plus top-ups, was not acceptable, with £1 million believed to be their target figure.

Derby continue to be understood to be the Blues' main opposition for the ex-Everton, Arsenal and Charlton man's signature, despite manager Billy Davies being quoted as saying he isn't interested in the former Town loanee.

Elsewhere, released midfielder Darren Currie has been linked with Burnley. On Friday, Millwall were reported to be renewing their interest in the 32-year-old.
