Peters in Canada Action - Ipswich Town News

Winger Jaime Peters will be back in the Canada U20 side this evening when they take on the Czech Republic in Edmonton in their final friendly before the FIFA U20 World Cup. The Blues and other European clubs had asked the Canadians to omit their players from the previous two preparation games.

Canada are hosting the tournament and start their campaign with a game against Chile on July 1st in Toronto, before matches in Edmonton against Austria (July 5th) and Congo (July 8th).

This evening's game will see Peters win his 26th U20 cap, in addition to his 12 full international appearances.

Peters has agreed to sign a new three-year deal with the Blues having secured a work permit for a similar period.
