Town on Course - Ipswich Town News
The Town squad spent Tuesday in the picturesque surroundings of Ufford Park golf course just outside Woodbridge. The morning saw a two-hour training session involving some hard running but the afternoon was less strenuous.
Experienced golfers like Richard Naylor, Alan Lee and Jason De Vos played a round of the par-71 course, while the non-golfers were given lessons.
Fitness coach Simon Thadani told the club site that he felt the change of scene was useful: "It's something different bringing them to a new location like Ufford Park.
"The facilities are first class and it's a nice place to spend the morning training.
"We're always looking at introducing new ideas to break up the training routine and, after the hard work in the morning, the golf lessons provided a bit of fun for the players as well."
