Currie Also Set for Lions - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Darren Currie, released by the Blues at the end of the season, is reported to be on the verge of joining Scott Barron at Millwall. Currie was first linked with the Lions in January and then again earlier this month.

Millwall boss Willie Donachie, Joe Royle's assistant during his time as Town boss, needs to move on a couple of his current squad before he can confirm the deal for the 32-year-old winger.

Currie spent periods on loan with Coventry and Derby last season and hoped to win a permanent deal with the Rams, before being told he was not in manager Billy Davies's Premiership plans.

Burnley and Colchester were also reported to be interested in signing the player signed by the Blues from Brighton in December 2004 for £250,000.
