Town Off to Antwerp - Ipswich Town News

Town will face Belgian side Royal Antwerp in a pre-season friendly at their Bosuilstadion on a date yet to be confirmed. The match will be the Blues' only game outside the UK this summer.

German club 1860 Munich have removed their proposed match with Town from their pre-season schedule. They now play Arminia Bielefeld on the date previously pencilled in for the Blues.

Royal Antwerp, currently managed by former Bolton, Preston and Hull City man Warren Joyce, have a long-standing arrangement with Manchester United whereby the Premiership club's young players spend time on loan in Belgium.

Last season, the team nicknamed the Great Old finished seventh in Belgium's second division.
