Luton After Currie - Ipswich Town News

Luton Town are the latest League One club reported to have offered a deal to released Blues midfielder Darren Currie. Millwall and Brighton are also understood to be keen on signing the 32-year-old.

Hatters boss Kevin Blackwell is believed to have offered Currie a two-year deal at Kenilworth Road. Last summer Blackwell was reported to have tried to sign the much-travelled midfielder for Leeds, however the claims were denied by Town.

According to reports in Brighton, the Seagulls had made an offer to their former player, but they expected him to move to another League One club. Millwall were thought to be that side, but the Lions need to offload players before they can add to their squad.

Meanwhile, former Blue Tommy Miller has decided against a switch to Romanian side Steaua Bucharest. Miller was released by Sunderland at the end of the season and is available on a free transfer.

The midfielder's agent Phil Sproson says his player is assessing his options: "Steaua Bucharest did make an enquiry for Tommy, but I don't think he will be going there.

"Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds, Nottingham Forest and Hearts have all expressed an interest in him and he is seeing what is on offer to him."

Miller was once again linked with a return to the Blues earlier in the summer.
