Peters Cup Bid Begins - Ipswich Town News
Jaime Peters and Canada begin their FIFA U20 World Cup campaign on Sunday night with a group game against Chile in Toronto. Peters has been named one of six tournament ambassadors for the host nation.
The Town winger, who has agreed a new three-year deal with the Blues, will win his 27th U20 cap against Chile.
Peters, who was involved in the previous FIFA U20 World Cup in Holland two years ago, is expected to be one of Canada's star performers at the competition, the largest single sport event in Canadian history.
FIFA are streaming all games from the tournament live and for free via their website. Sunday's game actually kicks-off on Monday at 12.45am UK time.
