Legwinski Close to Action - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Sylvain Legwinski could return to match action in one of next week's pre-season games. The Blues take on Burton Albion and Kettering Town while they spend a week training at Loughborough University.

Physio Matt Byard told the club site that Legwinski is doing well after missing the end of last season with a broken metatarsal: "Sylvain is improving all the time and we are very happy with his progress.

"He will be going to Loughborough with the rest of the squad next week and we will see how he goes in training.

"If all's well, he will train with the others and, hopefully, he will be available for one of the games. That will be down to the manager."

The Blues travel to the Pirelli Stadium next Tuesday and to Rockingham Road on Thursday.

Striker Dean Bowditch and midfielder Gavin Williams have already been ruled out of the trip to Loughborough. Bowditch is recovering after undergoing groin surgery, while Williams is still struggling with his pelvic problem.
