Bowditch Progressing - Ipswich Town News

Striker Dean Bowditch is set to start his rehabilitation after his surgery to cure his long-standing groin problem. It is hoped that the former England U19 international will be back in action before the end of pre-season.

Physio Matt Byard told the club site: "The surgery has gone well and has certainly moved him further down the line on the road to recovery.

"We are looking at him beginning his rehabilitation next week while the rest of the squad are in Loughborough.

"It will be gentle work, easing him back into things and his progress will be monitored daily."

Meanwhile, former Town academy midfielder Cathal Lordan has joined Waterford United on loan from Cork City. Lordan, who scored twice in the first leg of the 2005 FA Youth Cup final against Southampton, was released by the Blues a year ago but has failed to make an impact at his hometown club.
